The renovation of Somerset Townhomes is being accomplished by Wheat Ridge 2020 through its Home Investment Program by partnering between Orion Development, Re/max Alliance and the private party owner of the complex.

Wheat Ridge 2020 is a private community and economic development non-profit corporation created to facilitate and partner in neighborhood and commercial projects that implement the Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy (NRS) adopted by Wheat Ridge City Council in July 2005. Comprised of nine specific strategies, the NRS provides guiding principles for future development to make Wheat Ridge a thriving community of choice.

The Home Investment Program is designed to fulfill this charge of the Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy: “a demonstration of how dated but quality housing can be upgraded and remarketed to the target customers.” Wheat Ridge 2020 has partnered with Orion Development as the general contractor for the renovations at Somerset. Wheat Ridge 2020 and Re/max Alliance will showcase these homes to demonstrate how similar quality housing stock in Wheat Ridge can be easily renovated with modern features.
